What should you know about your feet?

The skin on your feet is different from the skin that covers the rest of your body. It is much thicker and there are no sebaceous glands on it that are responsible for moisturizing the skin. That is why feet often dry out too much. As a result, the skin is dehydrated, cracked and painful and unaesthetic corns and corns appear.

What distinguishes foot skin is also the presence of a large amount of sweat glands on its bottom. We can see this, especially in summer or when wearing shoes or socks made of artificial materials.

Then the feet sweat more and emit a specific, unpleasant smell, which can cause us considerable discomfort. Therefore, in order to ensure their health and impeccable appearance, they should be systematically nurtured. Below we will suggest how to do it properly.

Basics of foot care

Washing and shortening nails is not enough to keep your feet in good condition. From time to time it is worth to treat them to relaxation and regeneration. This is particularly important, especially for people who walk or stand a lot. Then the feet are particularly loaded and exposed to abrasions, prints or keratosis of the epidermis.

The skin of the feet, just like the face, décolletage or other parts of the body should be regularly exfoliated, moisturized and nourished in order to stay in good condition. Otherwise, it will quickly start to keratinize and crack (especially on the heels), appear on it prints and thickenings, which unfortunately will be very quickly and painfully felt.

Hard skin on the feet. How to remove it?

Lack of care for your feet and improper foot care will soon become apparent. A very common problem, with which more and more people are struggling, is hard skin. Most often it appears on the heels and metatarsal. The factor conducive to the formation of keratinized epidermis is frequent walking in shoes on heels, poorly matched shoes and improper care or lack of care for the feet.

As already mentioned above, the skin of the feet is deprived of sebaceous glands, so it lacks hydration. Dry skin hardens quickly, and thus not far away from the problems in the form of keratinized and hard skin, prints, calluses and many other ailments.

It is worth mentioning that hard skin on the feet is not only due to improper care. Diseases and improper eating habits are also a frequent cause of this state of affairs. Overweight, diabetes and endocrine disorder are just some of them. They have a great influence on the condition of our feet.

Hard epidermis on the feet should be removed. Otherwise, the problem will get worse. Before doing this, soak your feet in soapy water to soften the skin. Rub hard skin with a pumice stone or a grater. It is important to do this very carefully.

Heel care – how to care for this part of your feet?

In order to take care of our heels, it is worth using moisturizing and regenerating creams intended for the care of these parts of the body. If there is a problem with bursting heels, you should react immediately. Ointments and creams designed for bursting heels, which contain vitamins E and A as well as allantoin and lanolin – substances accelerating healing – will be helpful here.

Foot care, just like taking care of the whole body, is an element of hygiene, well-being and own comfort. This applies to both women and men. Beautiful, well-groomed feet are an unquestionable asset of each of us, especially in summer, when we expose them in open shoes.
